Format for Envelope Addressing Lists All lists should be submitted via email in the body of the email, as an attachment or brought into the store on a floppy disk, CD, DVD, or a flash drive. The list must be Windows compatible and in Microsoft Word (.doc), Excel (.xls) or Notepad (.txt). Hard copies of lists (printed out pages or handwritten pages) can be used but there will be input charges (see other side). If you provide us with your list and it has missing information (zip code, abbreviations instead of full words, etc.), the envelopes will be addressed exactly that way. To avoid this or any subsequent re-print charges, please make sure your submitted list contains all the information you desire on your finished envelopes. Please do not do any special formatting on your list. All we want is the "hard data". When we run it through our addressing system, we will take care of all the necessary formatting (typestyle, centering text, etc.). Traditionally, inside envelopes are addressed only to those you wish to come. Inside envelopes are not a necessity in modern days and some invitation manufacturers do not offer them. If no inside envelopes are offered or you do not want to order them, you may utilize the "name" line of your outside envelope to indicate who is invited ("and Family", "and Guest", etc.). When addressing your inside envelopes, you normally want to use just Mr. and Mrs. "Last Name" and adding any children's names or guest's names if you know them. Outside Envelopes - Microsoft Word, Notepad or in the body of an email Each address should be left aligned in standard default format of Microsoft Word or Notepad. Please do not center your text or add any tabs. Each entry on your list should be single spaced with one blank "line" in between each "envelope". See below for samples of how the inside list should look or visit our List Templates page to download a sample file: Mr. and Mrs. David Smith Mr. and Mrs. Ron Davis Miss Arlene Segal Dr. and Mrs. John Taylor Outside Envelope - Microsoft Excel For outside envelope lists in Excel, we request separate columns for the following information: Name Line 1, Name Line 2, Street Address 1, Street Address 2, City, State, Zip Code & Country. Inside Envelopes - Microsoft Word, Notepad or in the body of an email As with the outside list we request the list to be left aligned, no special formatting, one blank line between each "envelope". We suggest you do not go beyond 3 lines for an inside envelope as it begins to look too busy.
